Still a good bill and good to get the word out! A lot of people I talk to have never thought about parking minimums and their impact on development. Bremerton just abolished them city wide

They need some fresh blood on their city council... one seat up this election cycle. The BI mayor has a lot of enthusiasm and vision but she's also very young and new to office, not sure she has much power to push back.

Wyoming does also only have like 12 people in it though, to be fair.

I know! That's why I didn't post it on your original comment, I realized it wasn't a relevant argument... just illustrating that for me (/a lot of people) the immediate reaction is "my local gov/police would find a way to make this screw me over"

My immediate reaction to your post was "what about where cops have set arbitrarily low speed limits that have nothing to do with safety because they want to extort ppl for ticket fines" - which is not an argument against your suggestion, it's an argument for police reform. But still my first thought

This is an extreme example but I do think many of the disagreements were coming from a place of having different experiences with and trust for local gov.

& left not because of any personal principal, but because it was his first and probably last chance to be paid to do so. Took the money and ran.
