Looking forward to presenting some of our data @ #WIRM2025 in Davos. Many thanks to all the collaborators for their help, and fantastic job by co-first authors Xiaogang Feng and Tilde Andersson who are both looking for their next position.

If you’re familiar with the bioRxiv version, you might still appreciate some new data, including what we think is the first tuft cell proteome dataset and additional models/exps. supporting the unexpected function of tuft cell IL-17RB in regulating IL-25 availability.

Tuft cell IL-17RB restrains IL-25 bioavailability and reveals context-dependent ILC2 hypoproliferation - Nature Immunology Tuft cells constitutively express IL-25 to sustain ILC2 homeostasis in the intestine, but mechanisms driving IL-25 secretion have been unclear. Here, Feng et al. find that tuft cells express IL-17RB, ...

I rather think it's time to get rid of the concept that F4/80hi cells in the fetus are the same as mature tissue macrophages in adults. That caused enough confusion in the past. With a slight, but important modification I agree: "the majority of fetal(!) macrophages were not fetal monocyte-derived".
