I find it so odd how science and measure is used to discuss these white (u forgot to say that) murderers versus how gang violence is discussed. I have never heard language like “young men adrift” attributed to troubled young black men whose behavior can be assessed the same human way but never is.

Sitting face-to-face, I would set aside debate and lean into curiosity. This wouldn’t be about winning an argument, but about listening, learning, and seeing the person behind the label. A flood of Feelings How are you feeling right now? Right now? At this exact minute? I feel like I want to crawl back into bed, but I already hit snooze too many times.
