I can barely listen to NPR anymore. I’m used to a much cleaner sound. NPR refuses to put any kind of filter on mics. Some people sound like they have the mic inside their mouths. The sticky pasty mouth noises, ear stabbing “S!” sounds and it seems every major host has a speech impediment.

Eleanor Mueller’s voice is nearly intolerable to listen to. Her whiny, childish vocal fry makes her sound like she’s a bratty 14 year old. Put her in voice lessons- she is clearly smart but she sounds like she’s not. Awful! Make it stop!
