I would probably prefer threaded strips if all modules had slotted screw holes
I use spudgers to fish half-hidden nuts from behind modules, magnets can get hidden ones if your rails are smooth
there's also the approach of not quite filling the rails with nuts but I haven't gotten that fussed

between sliding nuts and threaded strips I prefer whichever one I'm not working with at the moment #eurorack

the addac 213 series is really interesting with the a being expandable with up to 2 b or c units :3c

I turned up the addac213a, b, and c that all use ribbon cables, and the hotline s6 and a4 from catfullofghosts that end up more of a cable snake using vga cables #eurorack

I remember the first time this happened after starting meds, I thought 'I should do the dishes' and suddenly I was at the sink doing dishes absolutely baffled that it could be that easy, what the fuck indeed

I also looked at the after later audio light rail and omnitone 7path, and if my setup called for any of these I'd probably go for the light rail for its buffered mode
until then I wanted min fuss and min cost :3

very, my setup is quite small :3
price was also a factor, the multicore costs 3x as much
the wayout8 only takes up space in 1 rack and I can use cables I have to make lengthy patches, I see it as an extender rather than a bridge
longer patch cables were an option but would be awkward to hang

the tiptop wayout8 is my way out of buying awkwardly long patch cables
the tymkrs bulkhead lets me connect external gear without cables draped over other gear
in between is a blank I covered with dry erase material
now I have to move the i/o of the 3u to the left to make a central hub #eurorack
