The fact remains that a college degree - of any kind! - is still the most dependable way to raise your future income prospects and it won't _hurt_.

The immediate answer to rising tuitions is go to a state school. If you're lucky enough to qualify for a scholarship - as any citizen with a B average in high school in say, the state of Georgia does - going to college is a no-brainer still. And a number of states have stuff like that.

Honestly, with the rising costs and the dramatic uncertainty about the future of knowledge work (justified or not), I understand this. But saying college isn't worth it is, I think pointing out a problem without proposing a solution.
