Orphism and Atlanta United. I used to talk about Georgia politics and may again.

07.12.2025 21:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You all should just end your streaming subscriptions, by the way. All of them. Just end them, coward.
07.12.2025 15:55 โ ๐ 59 ๐ 13 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 0Windows should go away and .exe files should just become a portable binary format for Linux distros.
30.11.2025 21:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Given how well that went over, I'm gobsmacked you decided to try running that argument again.
30.11.2025 00:32 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It is odd to me that, like, you'd think it'd be parody if you said: to be clear, they only like the bad bits of Western Civilisation -- but that turns out to be true. They like the rapacious imperial murder, but not the art or intellectual achievements or civil liberties, etc.
29.11.2025 13:05 โ ๐ 488 ๐ 100 ๐ฌ 9 ๐ 5Like you could show all these silicon Valley freaks to middle schoolers and get them to swear off uppers and hallucinogenics just on the basis of not wanting to be such sweaty losers
29.11.2025 15:55 โ ๐ 69 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0The fact remains that a college degree - of any kind! - is still the most dependable way to raise your future income prospects and it won't _hurt_.
29.11.2025 16:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The immediate answer to rising tuitions is go to a state school. If you're lucky enough to qualify for a scholarship - as any citizen with a B average in high school in say, the state of Georgia does - going to college is a no-brainer still. And a number of states have stuff like that.
29.11.2025 16:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Honestly, with the rising costs and the dramatic uncertainty about the future of knowledge work (justified or not), I understand this. But saying college isn't worth it is, I think pointing out a problem without proposing a solution.
29.11.2025 16:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I understand that, but I guess what I'm saying is there isn't a secret formula. I've been in the same boat.
23.11.2025 17:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm gonna be honest if you can leave the house you can make friends. It's not actually that difficult, speaking as a man in his 30s. You just have to talk to strangers and then follow up.
23.11.2025 15:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Letโs be honest: nothing Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin have done in the last 56 years justifies the tremendous cost of bringing them back from the moon. NASA shouldโve spared the long-suffering taxpayer and left them up there
23.11.2025 03:39 โ ๐ 1779 ๐ 148 ๐ฌ 59 ๐ 12There's people who actually use Discord like this and I have no idea how one does that without going insane. It would be mind-breakingly distracting for me.
20.11.2025 17:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yes, the ability to instantly and constantly place bets on ridiculous minutia is a huge aspect of the problem, but we wouldnโt go wrong by just banning the whole enterprise. Thereโs probably a middle ground, but I donโt think thereโs a moral duty to find it.
15.11.2025 16:01 โ ๐ 86 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It completely lacks edge. Like, it seems like the sort of movie Paul Verhoeven should have directed, but, you know, he didn't, so this is what we got.
