Some updates to my project! Reworked the room (again) but much happier this time.
Going to be working on the roof tomorrow and finally starting some sculpt work mock ups!
Also started planning my side project which I might start tomorrow.

Its an odd one. But I refuse to give out details/face scans to these third party companies as theres always a chance of a data leak, selling on your details or even being used to train AI.

Thanks to the new UK Laws on Online "safety" I can no longer accept DMs on here without providing proof that I'm over 18 years old. I'm not going to be sending ID photos or face pictures to third party company to access DMs.
I can still use Discord DM's though which is fine.

Big thanks to everyone who has supported my work over the years and recently whilst I've dealt with burnout.
Lots of things have been happening behind the scene over the last year and it just built up to me feeling no joy in art creation.

I've found doing this in the past has allowed me to avoid burning out on the larger project. Having a different themed smaller prop keeps you motivated and keeps the work exciting.
Taking some time away and avoiding tunnel vision to focus on something different can help you come back refreshed.

I've found that when working on long term personal portfolio environments (large scale) that I like doing an additional small prop project alongside it.
It allows me to feel like I'm "finishing" something during such a large scope main project. Keeps things fresh as well.

I will also be starting a new video recording series where I will be breaking down my work flow, talking over sculpting videos, texturing videos and Unreal Engine videos of the project.
I'm not sure how many of these I will do, as my free time is limited to 1 art day a week to avoid burnout.

Project update:
Spent around 5 hours yesterday sketching up the final modular assets, sketching out trim sheet ideas and I started the base models for those assets to get them prepped for Zbrush.
I will be starting a Blog post over on ArtStation from next week

Yeah it seems dependent on team and time scale. I'm seeing it more and more with portfolio work and less wireframes being shown. Which makes me question if I'm out of date with process or not lol. I'm so used to doing the topology by hand that I'm unsure if I'm wasting time now days.

Keeping up with Industry standards can be very tiring. I feel back in the PS3/360 era there was a more standard work flow. I see a lot of artist using displaced and decimated assets for walls/floors now days rather than doing the topology by hand so they get depth.
Is this more common now days??

Started on the floor texture. Liking the looks of it so far. This is just on a flat plane with a normal map right now.
I plan on making smaller floor sections so I can have risen areas and divided up floor stone sections.
