there will 100% be a large correction in tech stocks when AI fails to meet the hyped timelines for profitability. It will be like the dot com bubble except now instead of blowing millions on silly parties they are blowing billions on servers and power that won't generate an ROI.

I see this as the actually useful outcome of agents. Yes, web search will decline massively, replaced by feeds of products, prices, services, etc.

We are absolutely in a bubble. A LOT of AI investments are going to fail when we realize what it can’t do and how far we are away from some innovations. The trough of disillusionment is coming.
