Last week, with two extraordinary colleagues, Lisa Dickson and @drjessicariddell.bsky.social , we celebrated the power of theatre with our students for a week at @stratfest.bsky.social. We watched three tyrants rant and harm and fail: Leontes, Duke Frederick, and Macbeth. And we saw the reactions.

Hope Summit: Reimagining Higher Education

Focusing on discussions centred on emerging leadership challenges for future-ready institutions, the role of arts and culture in strategic visioning and systems transformation, and emancipatory integration of all key players in the ‘flourishing’ mission of universities, this event is designed to be both provocative and inclusive. Through panels sessions, lightning talks, and hands-on workshops the day will afford hope-informed, facilitated quality time to network across the sector while hearing from a range of voices and perspectives.

I’m writing an article for AAC&U magazine Liberal Education and I keep coming back to attentiveness. We must pay attention - and be intentional about where and how we focus our energy within systems designed to distract us. We REALLY need to pay attention to people as acts of radical humanization

In a hilarious& entirely predictable twist, I’ve written 60,000 words of my new book before realizing what the book is actually about. There’s a pattern. My PhD dissertation. Shakespeare’s Guide. Hope Circuits was supposed to be about Hope University. Now I’ve accidentally written “Hope on the Move”
