Not to be the "blame everything on old leaders" person, but there is quite literally no legal difference between breaking the 4th amendment this way and how the 4th amendment has been broken wiretapping and PRISM going back to the Bush admin. Have seen many variations of this & broadly agree—but the part that struck me in the moment wasn’t “this is a microcosm for how America sucks” — it was “this is a microcosm for trying to behave democratically & respectfully of one another in a complex, evolving situation with things we can't know.”

Comments are saying this isn't enough, but context is important: a sitting legacy senator is stating public support to invoke the 25th. This gives permission for everyone else to start stating this publicly, much like Gallego's Abolish ICE. Call your reps and turn this into a nationwide discussion
