In the case of the DPRK, dumb Western imperialists use their alliance with Russia as a pretext to smear its name and justify American imperialism on the Korean peninsula as if the DPRK's defense pact with Russia isn't a necessary deterrent against Yankee neocons who want to restart the Korean War.

In the case of Ukraine, dumb multipolarists talk of Azov and other neo-Nazi militias' incorporation into the official Ukrainian armed forces as if it's pretext to justify Russia's imperialist invasion, as if it isn't Russia's aggression that bred such reaction in Ukraine in the first place.

I support North Korea's sovereignty for the same reason I support Ukraine's. Those wrapped up entirely in bourgeois geopolitics might consider those two contradictory positions, but it's a matter of fact that the actions taken by either nation are a byproduct of imperialist systems placed upon them.

Do I agree with the DPRK's political organization completely, or its autocratic form of government? Not at all.

Does that mean it didn't once set a strong example for internationalist socialism or display true democracy in the framework of a workers' state, one which merely degenerated? Also no.
