My immediate reaction was "here we go again" because the same thing happened when my mother died, and one of my siblings just blurted it out on Facebook. However, I have sympathy for the blurter this time because she had a very close relationship to and with my sister, and it was a shock reaction.

I didn't normally post personal stuff (except pictures of my cat) but I just found out my sister has died this evening. Please don't post anything on social media until you know close family have been informed. Several of us found out the same way and it sucks.

We should just go ahead anyway. It's perfect.
