11.08.2025 18:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0100% agree. AI making it easy for just about anyone might allow people to apply the appropriate amount of skepticism to what has already been going on.
11.08.2025 13:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs really wild the range of experiences with AI. Sometimes this thing is omniscient. Sometimes it really canβt see whatβs right in front of its face. I get why non-technical people unfamiliar with AI have such a rough time. The "uneven frontier" is no joke.

04.07.2025 19:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The only thing stopping us from having autonomously self improving apps is the economics of tokens. But it will certainly happen. The fact that these things can via playwright mcp and/or unit tests actually make changes that donβt break stuff is going to make way for that autonomy.

03.07.2025 13:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I came to say this. The problem is that recipes online are a user hostile experience. So yeah, if the AI summary will tell me how many cups of flour I need directly, I'm definitely not going to choose to crawl through that field of ads to look at the original recipe.

We now have the tools to synthesize our own data like never before.

AI isn't just faster. It makes the impossible possible for resource-constrained orgs.
Small consultancies now offer enterprise research. Bootstrapped startups run agency campaigns. The winners: nimble players freed from past constraints.

05.06.2025 01:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Any time I check out workflow automation tools like Zapier I always get stuck on having to learn THEIR way of constructing a program. Used to be worth it for the integrations but now... It's easier to have AI help me write code than it is to decipher their particular eccentricities.
03.06.2025 01:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0AI as writer is hit and miss but AI as editor is not to be missed.
02.06.2025 20:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Now that anyone can mimic yesterdayβs βperfectβ style, the real question is which new styles will cut through the noise. Iβm fine with em-dashes, but when every post starts to look the same, I canβt help craving something fresh.
02.06.2025 12:58 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Watching for the slow creep of markdown becoming a first class format for document tools everywhere. As AI becomes a dominant part of everyone's workflow, it's just going to be inescapably convenient. If you aren't aware, LLMs speak markdown. Doing more and more doc mgmt in Obsidian.md now.

22.05.2025 17:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A lot of the pushback on AI isnβt about the tech. Itβs that people donβt want βAI.β They want solutions. Most donβt care if itβs powered by AI or Mensa-certified octopi. Just solve the problem.
Hype might attract funding, but it often alienates the audience that actually matters.
βI reject AIβ posts are like early smartphone refusals. Loud. Sincere. Inevitable.
But utility > purity. Folks will end up using AI. It just gets bundled into life.
There will always be people who resist. Some donβt use the internet or smartphones either.
But theyβre the exception.

It'd be nice if this brought "buses" to cities that famously don't have great public transport. I'd love to see an overlay of their uber routes vs public transpo lines. Clearly, they aren't focused on any public good but maybe they could accidentally help.

AI adoption isnβt about tools.

I love it when I'm in Cursor and I paste an error into the agent, and it says, "The problem occurs when [blah blah]. In your code [blah blah]." Listen, we both know this isn't *my* code. You just wrote that code. I am merely a vessel, a custodian, if you will, of this code.
21.04.2025 15:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 020-30 bucks a pop in every app is something I will gladly be rid of. API key usage brings down aggregate costs or at least allows you to pay where you actually use it daily but key management is a hassle. This will all get better but right now the magic comes with both a real and figurative cost.
