Indeed. We value experienced frontline professionals in other high risk commercial industries but not healthcare. As a tax payer I want value not low cost.

If I could wish for one thing it would be a culture shift by decision makers/HMT that the experiencd workforce is an asset critical to safety and productivity instead of just a cost.
