People should not undergo environmental issues from governments, industries, and policies in a disporportionate or disadvantaged manner. People have a right to a safe, healthy, and sustainable life regardless of their living location.

Sometimes now we have laws and congressional approved regulatory frameworks, and sometimes we have various parties getting shaken down and agreeing, along whatever individual terms they can get, to pay the administration protection money.

He’s 68, not 77, per Wikipedia - and I do think that’s a meaningful difference. I know Mills is popular and winning the Senate is critical, but all things considered the party desperately needs to get younger. (Tho I’m no of Jared Golden so if it came down to those two I’d prefer Mills)

The last 8 members of Congress to die in office have all been Democrats Since November 2022, eight sitting members of Congress have died in office due to old age or disease. All of them were Democrats.

This is an excellent point - for all the doomers asking “will he even allow free elections in 2026” the key thing to understand is, he probably can’t stop the election itself but he can almost certainly find ways to obstruct the election *outcome* (the seating/functioning of a Dem Congress).

Some people don't feel as close to this as they ought to. Most of us are just a bad break or two away from winding up on the streets, and addiction & mental health crises can affect anyone. They're gutting services and rendering more of us disposable, and there's a carceral disposal system waiting.
