In a way, it's so strange to think of procedures as being invented — like CPR in 1960 — and that they didn't exist before that. If people suddenly lost consciousness, hardly anyone would have any clue what to do. So many things that are easy to take for granted.

I finally found the time to listen to this excellent podcast on space economics.
Excellent questions but what really makes it stand out are the answers by @akhilrao.bsky.social. I have never heard someone explain the principles of economics applied on space issues as clearly as clearly as here.

#EconSky: I need some data nerd insights re:CPI data.

I've always treated CPI data as "month end" - i.e. March 2025 is "March 31". I just noticed the date for CPI data from FRED for the 1st (i.e. "March 1"). Is "March" data in FRED *actually* the Feb data? Or is it a forced-defaulting to the 1st?
