Mobile identification allows drivers to present their license on their phone for scanning. These digital IDs could be used at traffic stops just as a regular license. I’m proud to introduce the digital ID bill alongside Sen. Kelda Roys to make travel more accessible.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Sauk Prairie Early Learning Center. Thank you Superintendent Jeff Wright for the tour and talking with us about this successful investment in Sauk Prairie childcare. This is an inspiring example of supporting and strengthening Wisconsin communities.

Today marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month! This month especially, I encourage you to explore and celebrate the rich history and invaluable contributions of our Hispanic community members across Wisconsin.

Assembly passes bills to restrict remote work, flags and funding for immigrant health services • Wisconsin Examiner Assembly Minority Leader Greta Neubauer said Republicans’ agenda was an example of “prioritizing culture wars” over “doing what's right.”

Remote work policies have become a success for Wisconsin. A bill like AB 39 with a one-size-fits-all return to work policy will not make our state government better.

Today we remember and honor the lives that were lost, the brave first responders who put themselves in harm's way, and those who survived these devastating attacks.

This week I introduced a bill prohibiting employment contracts from including clauses that prevent former employees from finding jobs in their fields of expertise. This part of the Build A Strong Wisconsin package is a critical step toward filling open jobs and putting Wisconsin workers first.

While Robin Vos and the Republicans are holding a fundraiser on a yacht on Lake Geneva on a scheduled “floor session day,” I'm proud to be working with my Democratic colleagues introducing bills to help Wisconsin workers and union members.

The Tariff Tax Transparency Act aims to identify the hidden costs of tariffs on consumer goods. Tariffs are taxes, and the average consumer is who suffers the most from this cost. I’m proud to have introduced this legislation alongside my colleagues to protect consumers across Wisconsin.

Happy Labor Day to all of the dedicated workers who keep Wisconsin moving forward! Today we are reminded to continue our fight for liveable wages, comprehensive workers protections, equal pay, and more that will empower our workforce and support stability in Wisconsin families.

The Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund is a vital component of Wisconsin’s effort to preserve natural resources, protect water quality, and expand opportunities for outdoor recreation. I’m proud of all 60 Legislative Democrats for authoring crucial legislation to protect this program!

And still no Republicans have cosponsored my bill to protect Wisconsinites’ personal data from the Trump Administration.

This week was Ruby’s last week in the office. Ruby has been our intern for the summer term and I am grateful for all of her hard work these past several weeks. Our office wishes her the best of luck as she returns to Minnesota for her sophomore year!

Ways and Means needs a bigger committee room. It’s a full house every time we meet!

Today the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means held a public hearing to discuss different methods of targeted tax relief. I’m grateful for the community advocates that came to speak on each proposal, and working diligently to talk with constituents ahead of an upcoming vote.

Today we honor Justice Ann Walsh Bradley on her final day of service on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. I am grateful for her steadfast commitment to the principles of justice and the rule of law. Thank you, Justice Bradley, for your 30 years of distinguished service!

Thanks @govevers.wisconsin.gov for leaving WI better than how you found it. We’ve been privileged to have your steady grip on the veto pen. Your lifetime of public service as an educator and Governor is an example for all. From my family to yours: enjoy some much deserved time together.
