I call it Surface-Stable Fractal Dithering and I've released it as open source along with this explainer video of how it works.

Hollywood movie apocalyptic visuals are now literal Hollywood 😧

The terrible dilemma of watching Christmas movies at other people’s houses and realising they haven’t disabled motion smoothing on their TV. It makes everything look so cheap - Gremlins is looking like an old episode of Roseanne :(

Me too. I worked with him on the liminal states ARG and short film. He’s an amazing talent. He had a few unreleased/unfinished projects in the works but I haven’t heard anything recently. The last time we talked was after Rich K died

The last Apple event video confirmed to me that Apple is so embarrassed by their awful barely-trying attempt at an Apple silicon Mac Pro, that they didn’t even have any in their “lab” shots - only Mac Studios.
I guess they’re happy to cede the high end to Nvidia
