We met a beautiful old hawthorn tree & were blessed with some gypsywort which initial research shows was used to make dye and also protects against witches (it ended up with me so the latter can’t be true). 🌿🍂🪾

Spent a lovely Freshers Fair day at @yorkstjohn.bsky.social on the Living Lab stall talking to people about Ecospirituality, sustainability and ecological justice.

My equinox gathering turned into a solo event in the end. Still a very profound experience at the Druid’s Temple and Thornborough Henges.

I was reminded recently of the perfection that is the oak acorn sitting in its little cup. The oak tree is particularly revered at this time & a quick trawl through my books also revealed some interesting stories about the folklore of acorns (click link)

On the 24th September, I will be at the @yorkstjohn.bsky.social Freshers Fair on the Living Lab stall to talk about the Rootstock project. This will be a series of interactive ecospiritual workshops exploring the folklore and sensory vitality of the campus green spaces.

Each participant who takes part in my mindfulness sessions is encouraged to create a reflection card to take away as a keepsake. Participants will be invited to write a few words about their experiences at the session, and what better cards to use than those bearing the artwork of William Morris 🍂💐🌼
