I didnโt put the generator up anywhere after glitch.
Iโm braving the podcast.
โthis is the happiest I've ever been in my entire life.โ lol
A hello would have been niceโฆ I also could have clarified how it works.
Iโm glad they liked it ๐
Omg I canโt even listen.
I am not made for fame. Itโs just a podcast and Iโm horrified.
The episode came out in July which is when Glitch stopped hosting the project.
I havenโt googled myself in a while and Iโm horrified.
My therapist generator, built on @samplereality.bsky.social โs work at DreamLab was featured in a podcast.
Like, the whole episode.

The position and its description do not seem to reflect an understanding of AI and where it fits into librariesโฆ
I think an AI might be able to clarify that.
I have almost changed a bike tire for the first time. Itโs been a journey.
And now, at the end of it all, my brakes are permanently on and I canโt solve it.
What happened to WikiHow? Why is everything a hyper YouTube video? Am I in hell?
In case you missed it, this workbook is a guide to thinking through when and how to take risks as a higher ed worker.
It aims to help us differentiate between danger and discomfort, while also offering some practical information about how to protect yourself while taking meaningful action.

Beyond "stuff," what helped shape your space?
I'm sorry, but Microsoft should not be allowed to do anything with AI until you can open a UTF-8 csv file in Excel.

Though this ex. does raise questions for me about the impacts of the absence in training data if scholarship is closed.

If you missed my talk "Misinformation in the Age of 'AI'" at the Durham County Library, Digging down on dis-/misinformation, authoritarianism, generative "AI", the stakes for consensus reality, and what we can try to do about it, the recording is now up on the tubes:

I chatted with her and her husband for a few minutes. They kept trying to turn the convo to me getting sprayed and rabbits and my brain just absolutely refused to acknowledge the moment.
Nope. Didnโt happen. Normal Wednesday.
At one point, she pumps up the water gun and squirts it in the air a few times. โWell. It works!โ
This is most โcountryโ I have felt since moving to Boston from the Midwest.
So Iโm walking my dog and suddenly, I am sprayed with water.
I hear, โOh shit!โ
I look to see a woman on her porch with a super soaker. โDid I get you?!โ
She launches into explaining about rabbits in her garden. I, groggy, start asking Qโs about gardening. Glossing overโwater gun? Rabbits?
Iโm frustrated for many reasons at surface-skimming media history takes on AI like โpeople opposed the printing press too!โ If media history is going to help us navigate the present, we have to reckon with something people often omit from those comparisonsโthe intersection of power & new media (1/4)
01.07.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 99 ๐ 43 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 4I'm guessing that the long-standing problem of the discoverability of DH projects will play a role in protecting them from this. If not, maybe digital projects will become easier for humans to find, as well as bots?
27.06.2025 14:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Few projects have continuous access to people with the technical expertise to manage this and that says nothing of the time it takes to play AI whack-a-mole.
Top of my mind is probably Omeka, Scalar, and Wordpress, as the most common and crawl-able self-hosted projects.
