The stepping stones across the Kamo / Takano rivers in Kyoto is probably my favorite place in the city.

My proposal for this was to have each team drop a player and then play for 10 or 15 more minutes. Still tied? Drop another player and repeat.

Games that got down to a 1v1, goalie-v-goalie match would be intense, but it wouldn't often get to that point.
