Of course the rise is not comparable to some of the revivals of the past- and people are free to quibble with the title- but it has provided a sound basis for increases that are being noted by church leaders around the country.

This means there will be churches where there are few or no under 35s, the age groups growing the most. They therefore cannot see a rise for demographic reasons.

The report addresses the rise in attendance at both Catholic and Pentecostal Church services and contrasts this with Anglican (page 18). Anglican churches have a unique challenge with the parish system required to cover every person on every blade of grass in the nation.

MRP opinion polls for voting intention use similar sample sizes, I've never seen them called niche. Their sample is taken from across the whole population, as does this survey.

Why do you call it a niche survey? It's a survey of over 13000 respondents conducted by YouGov, and the report tracks changes across the last 6 years.

Dealing with the general awfulness of 2 hospitals, 3 care homes, social workers and now an NHS ICB for my M-I-Ls complex dementia care- I simply can't see how the government will make the NHS deliver for our ageing population without addressing social care. Mr Kinnock will be hearing from me soon.

Anyone currently in the hospital/social care minefield could put them straight. It is broken now; it would be devastated if their plans were enacted.

Here I am with a relative in a care home, due to a forced discharge-to-assess placement for elderly care with complex needs, thinking: how on earth did a wealthy nation get here? And then I remember what an infantile conversation we had when Andy Burnham & then Theresa May suggested a way forward.
