6 months ago, I became a trainee clinical scientist in clinical scientific computing! 🎉 While I'm currently in my rotations right now in medical physics, I've had some opportunity to look into the projects I'll be involved in, like PyLinac!

I was under the impression that the point of HPC and parallel computing is so that it improves the speed with correctness, but at the cost of probably _some_ performance, and whether it's worth it or not... And lo and behold, there is an actual organisation that focuses on it!
