It should be a de facto rule of civil society that neither side tolerates those who defend, excuse, or otherwise support the actual Third Reich.
One of the side effects of the left doing this is that it has opened to door for others to resurrect sympathies for the actual Nazis, not just those the left now labels as Nazis. They take advantage of the fact that the left has, in its bubble, lost the ability to nuance and distinguish.
