The 2025 Souvenir Guide cover illustration for CONvergence, a convention held July 3-6, 2025 in Minnesota. The cover is a take on the very first D&D Player's Handbook cover, featuring CONVergence mascots exploring a dungeon together.

That post-con drop hit *hard* haha 😅 Still marveling in gratitude at what an excellent con this year's @convergencecon.bsky.social was. For me, that included drawing and coloring this year's Souvenir Guide cover! It got turned into a giant coloring page, too! 😊

Took a big step forward today and added an intermediate dancing class right after my beginner one every week. I *immediately* felt way out of my depth and overwhelmed again, like I did at my first ever class 🙃

So a small step back. But I’m gonna keep moving and gain that confidence/skill again 🙂

I just finished reading the Scholomance trilogy by @naominovik.bsky.social and… wow. A mix of dark moments and beautiful, heartfelt moments that are going to stick with me equally long and equally deeply. I couldn’t devour the books fast enough!

I contributed an essay into this book, but, beyond that, I’ve found all the “Outside In” books to be filled with lovely, interesting perspectives on beloved stories.

I’ve been (very, very slowly) playing through the Mass Effect games for the first time. Just got through the ME2 “Project Overlord” mission and… yeah, that’s gonna mess me up for a bit.

Yeah, just… the audacity!

Like the images even have illustrator names tied to them, but the more we looked the more we questioned it… and then we found a video where the creators literally said it was AI.

My brain is just like sputtering in outrage and disappointment.

Nothing like hearing a game designer talk about their “award-winning art” all weekend, being excited to try the game… then finding out the images were actually genAI (with varying amounts of manipulation/overpainting).

Suuuper great. Totally the best. 🙄🙄🙄

Yes, that well-used fuzzy donut is on a stair landing. It’s one of his favorite places to sit. Then he can watch us from on high or see into either of our offices, whichever he chooses. He has more donuts strategically placed around the house to curl up in, but this one gets by far the most use 🥰
