In the face of the tide of AI-written slop "weird and gnarly stuff that not too many like to read" feels less and less like a backwater and more and more like a boat.

It's completely beyond me how authorities can continue to ignore this fundamental issue, especially given that we KNOW that with climate breakdown floods will only keep getting worse.

Pay farmers to rewild NOW.

A drawing of a man's head popping out of a guillotine saying "as an entrepreneur you know, I'm always thinking about the long game.
Sure this is a setback now, today, but big picture-
I've been knocked down before and I get back up, I just gotta figure out how to turn this to my advantage.
Success is a mindset."

There is a brand new episode of SFULTRA, the only book podcast that has ever existed. It is about Samuel R. Delany and his book Stars In My Pocket Like Grains Of Sand. It's free to listen to here right now: www.patreon.com/posts/149597... and will appear in the usual podcast places later today.

To say that you’re broken means that everyone else is broken too, for we all suffer

There is no prime, unbroken person to heal you, but we can heal ourselves and others

Helping others shows you how to help yourself. Listening to others helps you listen to yourself; aid for others is aid for self

Written not to shame, but to speak; carrying anger that is measured, thoughtful, & deliberately restrained

It addresses directly this indefensible act of ego fuelled vandalism, but also carries judgement on our own selfish, fleeting acts that have ecological consequences
