There is precious little separating what a convicted felon is doing in DC from what would be happening if an actual dictator declared martial law. All because he just doesn’t like that DC is a left leaning city with a black mayor.

"We were unaware of plans to incorporate our imagery as part of yesterday's announcement," IndyCar said in a statement Wednesday. "Consistent with our approach to public policy and political issues, we are communicating our preference that our IP not be utilized moving forward in relation to this matter."

Penske owns IndyCar too, and their statement about this BS with an AI generated car with ICE as a sponsor is weak sauce at best. One would hope that Penske would be angrier about the government repeatedly using him and his companies this way.

Yes, please do automate all of the humanity out of the most important human to human relationship of your life.

This isn’t just grounds for divorce, it should be disqualifying for ever entering into romantic relationship ever again.

Hank: Peggy that's the recipe for mustard gas!

I don’t know why this one sticks in my head so much, but whenever I think of KoTH I always think of this scene.

If ChatGPT is not consistently dependable, how are we suppose to use it for actual work?
Discussion
It's behavior and results can randomly change due to some OpenAl tweaking that's opaque.
On some days it can't even keep track of a fresh chat, it can't do calculations, it can't sort through a chat to extract relevant information, and when it's suppose to refer to source material in a PDF, it doesn't.
All because OpenAl trained it for fluency and basically to simulate whatever it can for user satisfaction.
I can use it for general chats, philosophical stuff, therapy, but nothing serious. I'm pro Al, but I approach it with skepticism knowing it's undependable (as I do with anything I read).
And prompts can be interpreted/executed differently across users' own interaction with their Als so it's not truly scalable.
How does the business world / leaders expect staff to adopt Al if it's not consistently dependable? It doesn't even calculate like a calculator. If the internet start claiming 2+2=5, that's what it'll answer with.
I'd use it for hobbies and pet projects but I can't imagine using it for anything "mission critical".

The idea being that you get good at the game and then you’re ready at a moments notice if you spot one of these people in public to tell them to fuck all the way off.

Bonus points for submitting a selfie with one of them if you promise that you told them to eat shit and die right after taking it.

App idea: a list of people like John Roberts in the form of a deck of flash cards, but the pics are user submitted public sightings and it’s a game to correctly identify them. If you identify them correctly the card turns over and it’s a bulleted list of reasons they should go fuck themselves.

You can also propose bills to Congress that would revoke this power from the presidency explicitly. Tariffs are a slow acting tool and by definition not a good tool to use to deal with emergencies anyway.

Normally I would say no way. But you could probably save a ton of money by not over engineering it with stuff like fire suppression systems, emergency services tunnels, or any other basic safety precautions.

β€œthe kind of story that would have tanked previous administrations.”

Obviously this is one of those stories, but honestly, and I mean this without the slightest hint of hyperbole or humor, are we not into the thousands of these already with this president?

They should do it by every one of them finding their nearest ICE facility and demanding to be let in immediately as is required by law and getting themselves arrested if they are refused entry.
