ai doesn't make people artists, but it does let people feel like a narcissist, and i guess to a lot of people outside of art, that's the same thing, so

people talk about ai as if it's a lever to move the world or a sandbox for creativity but it's kinda like a lowest cost bidder to outsource to, or a chainsaw that only cuts corners

the whole point of using it is to avoid 'doing the work', and substitute it with an approximation

my experience being pressured by my workplace to use LLMs is that the code generated leads to more work than just ... doing the coding myself, and that reviewing code generated through self-proclaimed "powerusers" has been a chore of wading through trash. it's deeply considered rejection here.

Multiple models LOVE this format I think it a/b tests well because of the graphics and it probably has strong statistical associations too because pictographs tokenize well and have fairly narrow intents
