i frequently am listening to something and thinking its kind of cool and then its not very cool and the novelty of listening to a new thing instantly wanes. while i'm still listening to old stuff & finding plenty new things which are interesting by contrast. disappointing

there is a lot of 2-step/garage house "revival" sounds at the moment but some of it is very unimaginative and truly "revival" oriented for a sound that never really disappeared unless you stopped looking and listneing. feels like angel food cake and just nostalgia oriented. understimulating
