Speaking of fruit, we usually think of realism in art as a later creation, as if it was invented somewhere around the Renaissance. But LOOK at this bottle in the shape of yuca roots, from no later than 800 AD. That is gorgeous and not an easy shape to build.

Linen samples, there’s some minor differences in texture between the colors

I’m not sure what the deal is with certain dye lots going with different weaves, but I’ve tried both the more uniform style and the slubbier thicker weave and personally I think the wider weaves like the sea wave end up the most comfortable, like it’s ridiculous

Definitely worth it if you get a place that sources it from somewhere decent! Baltic region stuff tends to be very good? Long fibers, sturdy. My sheets are from there and I've had those over 5 years now, perfect condition. Cost an arm and a leg and there's a wear-in period but SO worth it.
