The game is hard. BUT there's a training station, upgrades, and you can go back and try again and again.

I'm not a fan of games that love to punish you, but this one really just said: this is hard, here's some upgrades, observe, be patient, try again, you've got this!

So, I'm glad I did!

I'm a big fan of martial art films, and the tropes of the genre. It was such a genius idea to pair the aging mechanic with this kind of story, striving for revenge at the cost of the years of your life.

Love how the clothes, voice acting, even combat changes as you age, so many little details.

I beat Sifu last night!

Such an awesome game! Simple idea, well-executed, really smooth gameplay, and the right amount of challenge!

Looking forward to going back and seeing if I can do better!

I saw the new Fantastic Four and liked it!

It's fun and bright, with amazing set design and great performances & chemistry from the cast, and it has some really cool Silver Age comics shenanigans!

Not every movie needs to dominate the landscape, but this was a breath of fresh air.

Will see again!

The character Lark, an Avarni who has a natural affinity to water magic. She has tan skin and long blonde hair that gradually turns white closer to the tips. It's done up in a braided ponytail, clasped by gold, swirly-patterned metal bands. They have a large white diamond pattern on their forehead and dark eyes with gold irises with slit pupils. They have a gold metal collar piece with strings of gold beads resting over the tops of their shoulders. They have a halter-style top of light beige cloth. They have a navy blue patterned skirt that's wrapped in the same material of the top. They have gold bands over their biceps, decorated similiarly to to the collar piece. Beneath the bands, their arms are covered in sheer sleeves. They have pointed ears adorned with dangling earrings. They have a faint purple hue around their eyes and nose.

Matter converted to energy, to be moved to the ship, bounces and splits off atmosphere, rematerializing both on the ship and planet as the original matter.

In my mind, Tom Riker speaks *more* to the idea of an energy beam moving from place to place, than a clone vaporizing/appearing in places.

I know it's a joke, but Star Trek transporters are not this.

They are explicitly converting matter to energy, moving it, and reassembling it.

It's a conceit along with the rest of the show; that a perfect transporter can exist alongside a utopian Earth.

I firmly separated the character from the actor years ago, but this is insane levels of sadness, cruelty, and stupidity.

I do really think that being unable to give full throated support to Mamdani is a nice test of who should be primaried.

I used to be unable to draw, even doodle. Just wouldn't do it. But, when I started a new D&D campaign, I made my character keep a drawing journal.

Now, it's not *me* who sucks, it's my 17-year old adventurer on the run from monsters! Now I draw often!

In light of the growing adversarial nature of the D&D world I'm playing versus my character, I've started making plans.

Glyphs of Warding packed with Fireball, hidden via Nystul's Magic Aura. Arcane Lock, Alarm, maybe even some delay-triggered Fabricate spells.

Thinking like a real wizard now.

So yes, a meeting to discuss and make sure we're all on board with what the game is, has become, and the direction we see it going, is sorely needed.

I really hope it's just an Act 2 low moment, that there is a path ahead that, while tough and not entirely pure, will work out in the end.

It just feels like there's no safe harbour, no good choices and worst, that we should feel guilty for even having power.

I'm sure the DM is doing this to raise stakes, provide opportunity for reflection on power, but it feels like the only good move is to kill everyone and then ourselves.

For the past 5+ sessions, our characters have been racing from adventure to adventure, but rather than excitement, it has left me drained.

Not because it was fast-paced, but because it was emotionally heavy.

We accidentally dismantled a nation's magical contract, upended a paladin's order,

Looking forward to finding time to have what my friends are calling a "Session 2.0", where we discuss the current and future plans for our D&D game.

As always, scheduling is the challenge.
