HHS ends government-funded COVID-19 test program HHS has ended a government-funded program that distributed free COVID-19 tests to community organizations, a department spokesperson confirmed to Healio.

i was the designated test order-er for @maskblocla.bsky.social using this HHS ASPR portal. they emailed at 6am this morning, June 4, to inform that "COVID-19 tests are not available after 6/3/2025"—not even giving the opportunity to clear out whatever may've been left despite another incoming wave.

Aside from the fact that anyone can get seriously ill from COVID, a key point they are deliberately hiding when removing access is that COVID vaccines reduce transmission. People choose to get vaccinated to protect other people. It is wrong and harmful to take that choice away.

There’s something particularly cruel about restricting access to COVID vaccines in a country that doesn’t provide universal healthcare to its citizens.

The reason people constantly suggest that Dems "adopt moderate social positions" (which... end up not being "moderate" at all) is because they think that Dems won't lose votes by moving to the right. They are wrong in thinking this.
