EveryLibrary is working hard to save the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), which is the federal agency charged with distributing Congressionally approved funds to state libraries and grant recipients.

A March 14 Executive Order dismantles IMLS, the only federal agency funding libraries. The order halts future funding and mandates the agencies cut services and staff to the legal minimum.

If you don't have a library card, now would be a good time to get one!

Today I attended the #HandsOff rally in Washington DC with @beyer.house.gov @neatoday.bsky.social @nffe.bsky.social, AFGE and thousand of protesters.

We must resist and fight back any way we can!!

The unions were pretty well represented across the SWPA events that I'm aware of--they had speakers, they mobilized their members and even had their choirs performing! But yes, we agree that @democrats.org should really be targeting union leaders and membership to bring them along
