Spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a show "For Adults", especially in the animation space.

I think the mark of a truly adult show is not just having mature themes, but being CONFIDENT enough in the portrayal of those themes that you don't handhold your audience through every icky scene.

I've said this dozens of times, and I'll say it again. When people want "animation aimed at adults" what they basically want is My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic aimed at adults.
