Kethos Project Games

I'm finalizing the art on Book 4: Gemric and Cio Gemir (Swashbuckling! Venice!), and I'm already about 80 pages into Book 5: Yoroda (Samurai! Ninja!)... just finished all forty provinces. Next is the capital of Seihanto... oh gawd, another city write-up. So much detail in those.

This book provides a setting for campaigns inspired by medieval Japan; tales of samurai, ninja, and oni, but in the Kethos setting. The book details the nation of Yoroda, a violence-ridden empire fractured by endless clan wars and supernatural terrors.

While we wait for the art and final production on Book 4: Gemric (swashbucklers and musketeers!), I have started working on Book 5: Yoroda (samurai, ninja, and oni!).

And now, we pester the FLGS's to see if they are interested in Kethos Project stuff. There was actually some vague interest in hearing more when I was in there in person. I should have followed up sooner, though.

Kethos is an original setting, it started off as my Saturday fantasy campaign setting. Grew into something larger. I have an introductory PDF on the main page of the website if you’re interested.

The first part of this book, the setting guide, can be used with any game system. The second part is intended for one specific game system, but you can easily convert it to a different one.

This book provides a setting for campaigns of musketeers, pirates, swashbucklers, and assassins. It also can serve as a springboard for expanding a campaign set in the Kehler Lands out into the rest of Kethos, through the means of intercontinental trade networks that center on Gemric.

Now that the holidays are over, we here at Kethos Project are back to the book mill, where we toil away under terrible conditions at the word mill, churning out good Kethos content. Next up is Kethos Book 4: Gemric and Cio Gemir. Keep checking in for progress updates and eventually a release date!

Be cautious about where you settle. Cabot Cove has a murder rate of about 15 people a year with less than 4000 people. If you are the town Jessica Fletcher, you might be too busy sleuthing to do any alchemy or transformation curses.

Him, Trampier, Sutherland, and Otus Erol will always be DnD to me. The art we commission for our books and supplements is meant to honor that aesthetic.

But then, OLD.

Based very loosely on Renaissance Republic of Venice, with a bit of anything good with rapiers, harlequin masks, musketeers and pirates tossed in for good measure.

Awesome! We are working on this very sort of urban setting book for the Kethos setting, called Gemric, and its capital city, Cio Gemir.

I'll have to check yours out.

I run a Kethos campaign (no surprise), one friend runs a CP2077-based campaign, there's now-and-then Firefly and 2300AD campaigns. All SWADE. We don't usually run published settings on Friday nights other than mine, and even that's homebrew here... this is the table it came from!

I have a big healthy Friday table with 3-4 different SWADE games running.
