Thank you for the shout out and for the succinct summary. I was looking for a Kafka reference though! :)

MitoTracker transfers from astrocytes to neurons independently of mitochondria The neuroprotective transfer of mitochondria from astrocytes to neurons has been primarily investigated by labelling astrocytic mitochondria with the dye MitoTracker. Here we report that MitoTracker transfers to neurons from both astrocytes and astrocyte-conditioned media, independently of mitochondrial transfer. Our observations should prompt an essential re-evaluation of the literature concerning astrocyte-neuron mitochondrial transfer and in other systems in which contact-independent transfer has been observed using mitochondrial dyes. ### Competing Interest Statement The authors have declared no competing interest. I found out what I was allergic to by using 'ALEX2 Allergy Explorer' - it tests for 300 odd antibodies in your blood. For some of these, there are modern solutions like immunotherapy that can help. Ask your GP/ENT doc.

NEW ANALYSIS: UK's solar power surges 42% to a new record, after the sunniest spring on record

* For the first time, solar was >10% of UK generation in consecutive months (April/May 2025)
* In 2025, solar has already avoided gas imports that would've cost Β£600m

I think if you grabbed any famous thinker from centuries ago and showed them Wikipedia and told them it was free for anyone to access, they would say it is humanity's crowning achievement and would be indifferent to the moon landings, modern medicine, flight, or anything else you showed them

If you still have time, and haven't already been, I highly recommend, MusΓ©e des Arts et MΓ©tiers. It's a temple of science. It's located at an equally enchanting metro station of the same name.

Did LIGO just see its most important gravitational wave ever? The ultimate multi-messenger astronomy event would have gravitational waves, particles, and light arriving all at once. Did that just occur?

The universe has new eyes, ears and nose? It's pretty wicked if you ask me.

It shows a black and white photo of a rally, and a woman with a handbag is about to smack a follically challenged man on the back of his head. The man in questions is holding a nazi flag. This happened in 1985 in Sweden.

A group of people assembled in front of a regal building, which happens to be the main building of the University of Vienna, in Austria.

They are listening to a woman speak as part of the 'March for Science' event. This event and the march that followed was in solidarity with the scientists in the USA. There is a climate change banner showing the increasing global temperature in the blue-red colorbar in the centre stage.

Come up with something new as a theorist, it is deemed "speculative". Provide theory to existing empirical work and they say "it's trivial". There is no winning in a timid culture.
