My guess is one part vanity one part something to talk about other than what he is doing right now. A small distraction is still a distraction.

I could really use a pep talk. Something like; don’t worry it’s all going to be fine. We are all going to get through this and there won’t be any pain, everyone will have food, healthcare, social security, and housing. Our allies will still be our allies & the future won’t be as gloomy as it looks.

I replaced a set of pots & pans. A gift from former lover 15 years ago. When I looked at them I would occasionally reminisce to when he gifted them to me & the joy I had at receiving them. They were the last physical item I had of that relationship it feels good to release them.

How did I go from using my Friday to pack my car to head to a music festival to dancing in the sun light covered in glitter and stay up all night howling at the moon turn into using my Friday to make tallow, sourdough, and a beef roast?

I spent a couple of hours preparing my wall calendar for 2025. I’m not sure what 2025 will be like but at least all the things I have to celebrate are mapped and stickered.

Made friends with a donkey last night. He was less thrilled about than myself.

Have you ever gotten a holiday gift for someone, then when it arrives you realize just how big it is and you don’t know that it makes a good gift anymore? Because that’s what just happened to me and I don’t know what to do about it.

It is 21f where I live. The power just went out. It will be 4+hours before it comes back on according to the power company. In 4hrs it will be 15 degrees and the sun will be down.

Holiday shopping is hard for me. It feels like writers block when I try to think of what to get for people when there is a deadline. This year I tried to avoid that by getting things in advance. I spent more than intended which means I’m on a Mac & cheese diet for a while.
