Sometimes (often) I think I am too dumb to be coder. Like tonight when I fixed a really subtle bug in my game where the player was essentially getting a free turn when they moved between dungeon floors. (Due to how I calculated the list of active monsters and replenishing their energy each turn)

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

Video games also use classical AI rather than genAI— pathfinding (including A*), state machines, constraint solvers (including WFC), utility systems, behavior trees, blackboards, tree search (minimax, alpha/beta), heuristic functions, planning (GOAP and others), cooperative & adversarial approaches…

My cranks /were/ mismatched because when I tried to install them last year, I couldn't get one of my pedals off the old arm so I kept using it. Which is the arm that fell off this spring. So I had to dig out an old pedal but now the arms match 😅 I am actually tickled by frankenbikes
