AUKUS is sinking and Labor responds by making up a $30 billion un-budgeted AUKUS announceable for the SA State election. This stuff is straying so far from reality.

Today, under the cover of the Liberals tearing each other down, Labor has approved another coal mine extension.

Extending Middlemount to 2044 means Labor has now approved 35 fossil fuel projects.

In the middle of the climate crisis, they're approving more coal & gas.

Epstein files: Western media must stop burying the Israel connection For all the obsessive coverage of the disgraced financier's political dealings, mainstream outlets have skimmed past one of the biggest stories

Is it just me, or does the legacy media seem reluctant to report on the Epstien Files?

"The mine is controversial due to peer reviewed studies identifying it as a β€˜super polluter’" & may have "under-reported its methane emissions"

Extension would clear 600 hectares of high quality koala habitat & impact a koala population "of national significance"

Should be clear-cut rejection, no❓

Love it. Abbott was SOOOOOO unpopular when he was a politician his own electorate voted him out.

He will help the Libs & Angus into oblivion.

Abbot endorsing Angus tell you everything you need to know about Angus ..... Esp if Angus leans into the awful conservative ideology.

Jane Hume's been biding her time for a while.

She was earmarked as a Party spokes person & leader in Morrison Govt.

She must have hated it that Susssan became Party leader & newcomer Jacinta jumped in to try to take a leadership role.

It must piss her off to be surrounded by fools.🀣

The Australian: tool of the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship? In February, leading figures at Australia's only national broadsheet, Rupert Murdoch's prize masthead, went to the ARC conference in London. The newspaper gave many column inches to celebrate it.

Why is The Australian so regularly platforming ARC (and other national conservatism) messaging?

NSW police officer signed NDA with AFP over Sydney caravan β€˜fake terrorism’ plot NSW parliamentary inquiry hears β€˜extraordinary’ revelation that motivation of overseas mastermind was kept secret due to non-disclosure agreement

This is interesting. Minns forced the deputy Commissioner for Counter-Terrorism to sign an NDA concerning who faked the "caravan explosives" stunt, which Minns then used to pass the same anti-protest laws that led to the vicious assaults on civillians by NSW Police, last Sunday.

Indeed. And let's *not* conflate 'Zionism' with 'Judaism' either - big difference, huge. Being anti-Zionist does *not* make us antisemitic, in the same way that being anti-Nazi does not make us Communists. I do wish people would read a History book.

There has been some crap attempts by centrists trying to paint Zionism as just believing Israel should exist & favour a 2 state solution.

Bullshit. Either support genocide or criticise the Zionists who do. Don’t give me your bullshit β€œoh Netanyahu is bad but let’s not be mean about Zionists” crud.

Major parties vote down LGBTIQ amendments

Attempts from David Pocock, Jacqui Lambie, Tammy Tyrrell and Fatima Payman to have the laws at least extend protections to marginalised groups, including the LGTBIQ communities have been voted down by Labor and the Liberals.

This was their amendment:

(1) Schedule 1, item 10, page 8 (line 12), omit β€œdistinguished by race, or national or ethnic origin”, substitute β€œdistinguished by race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, disability, nationality, or national or ethnic origin, or because of the target person or target group’s personal association (whether as a relative or otherwise) with a person who is distinguished by any of those attributes”.

Good to have a final reminder that these laws are only about preventing people criticism Israel for committing genocide and have nothing really to do with hate (other than ensuring Zionists can continue to practice it)
