Looking South from the campsite, thick conifer forest grows on the edge of the Bow River Valley, on the other side of the valley the near vertical face of Mount Rundle rises majestically towards the sky. The bedding of the sedimentary rocks can be clearly seen pitched at an angle of about 30Deg (rising from the left), snow has accumulated on the ledges near the top. All beneath a bright blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds.
