10) Lonely People With Power - Deafheaven

I think this is the first black metal album I really liked, and what a surprise this album really is. Powerful vocals and tight instrumentation, this album has a similar presence to Feral Nature, but oddly refined.

9) Fritids – Pumpegris

This is cheating, because I discovered it in 2026, but wow!! this is a very original take on modern Norwegian folk, mixing traditional melodies with contemporary writing, which took me by surprise. Really interesting stuff!

8) Forever Howlong - Black Country, New Road

There is something so playful with this album that is difficult to explain. A mix of modern folk, jazz and indie where the arrangements sometimes takes some surprising turns. You might get put off at the first listen, but give it a chance!

7) Rituals - Feral Nature

Saw these guys at VVV this year, and holy shit this hits you like a brick wall. Hardcore with ghoulish vocals, heavy instrumentation and otherwordly presence. If you ever get the chance to see these live, do it!

6) viagr aboys - Viagra Boys

Maybe the most thought provoking lyrics of VB so far? The arrangements on this album I feel are getting much better, while maintaining the punky edge with a lead who just wants to lie down on a couch when all is done.

5) Something to Consume - Die Spitz
This is so cool! Raw, heavy punk with female vocals, aaah, I love this so much. Blast this album on LOUD while driving for an adrenaline high. Looking so forward to seeing these at Tons of Rock this year, if you love Lambrini girls, this is your shit.

4) (Tööpealkiri) - Meelik

More Estonian music, but these guys are so fricking good. I feel honestly this should be NOËP's main project. Sounds like early 2010s indie rock. Simple, but yet so catchy, and most of all: so fun!!!

3) Wrong Number - Payphones

Some bias here, as I know them, but the garagey sound is so cool. This album is short put packs a punch and makes you want to dance. For being only three people, they make so much noise. Really cool stuff

2) portals//polarities - Night Tapes

Mandatory addition due to their Estonian singer, but this is such an amazing and moody soft pop album. I was afraid the songs would be too similar, but no, they stand out each on their own. Soft vocals and interesting beats, put this on in the background.

1) Hot Spot - Honningbarna

Never really listened to Honningbarna until this year, and oh man, oh man, is this some good stuff. This album and the last one (Animorphs) combine to hit you like a brick. The lyrics are well written, the instrumentation so dramatic and I <3 the music videos.
