Understandable lol, I've definitely been there too!

The only one I really liked and that has stuck with me is Brave New World. Kind of messed up, but it makes you think about where the world might be heading, especially in the context of the author from when he wrote it.

But then again, it sounds like you've already tried a few, so maybe reading more wouldn't change anything. Still, never bad to branch out and see what you like/don't like!

I've only heard of it, but I haven't read it, unfortunately. I get the action thing though, I'm sort of the same way.

But yeah, I guess this is why they have subgenres. Could always try another dystopian by a different author, and if that is just okay like this book, I guess that confirms it

I kind of like them, but it really depends on how much I like the book before appreciating the dystopian aspects. However, I will say some ideas really stuck with me, but if I don't like the story, I won't stick around.

But I get it, and maybe the book just wasn't quite your style?

Just finished #Silksong. No lifed it for a week and had a great time with everything. The game was very difficult at times, and I enjoyed learning from my mistakes and exploring all of Pharloom. Can't wait to see what's next for Team Cherry!

Just found out that an author event I signed up for is using AI to promote and advertise. Honestly, it makes me sick, and I refuse to take part in it and support them. Just have to look closer in the details before signing up for anything. Also, wasted money.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I was in a similar situation about a month ago, but writing definitely makes the unemployed time more bearable. But hey, now your book is going to be complete sooner 👀

Took a small break from social media so I could hunker down and complete my next story, Rykar. This will follow one of the main villains prevalent in the world of my debut novel, a hopeful, yet despairing character who faces endless mental conflictions. Will share more in the coming weeks!

Just replayed Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories for the first time since 2017. It was just as good as I remembered: combat was fantastic, and the story stands out from the rest

Thought to try editing in a library, hoping it would be quieter than my apartment. Well, it was, but with a lot of other people there it also wasn't. Still, was a nice change of environment

Only a few days left! The sale ends on Friday for my debut novel #booksky!

Here's my order prediction for Square Enix releases:

2026: KH4
2027: FF7 part 3
2028: DQ 12

Rip DQ fans though, since that would mean an 11 year gap between 12 and 11. No way they would release it earlier, right?

Still, crazy how long KH and DQ fans have to wait for a new mainline game

Thinking about Kingdom Hearts right now. It has been 90 days since the new screenshots, but always hoping we will hear about a potential 2026 release. They can take as much time as they need, though. I'll be there day 1. In the meantime, here's some KH stuff
