There is an ethical imperative not only to prevent yourself from profiting J.K. Rowling, but to prevent others from doing so as well. Poor little critter! My dear old lop-eared rabbit was a cyclops too, and it sounds like a similar cause (infection that spread to the eye). She was just fine after she healed up, and learned not to bonk into doors too hard after a while.

Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

My kid has no issues with scary monsters or outright violence in media. But if anyone feels sadness or disappointment in another character, she's out. That's a hard emotion for her to handle.

Everyone at home is feeling crummy today, but I rescued a neglected onion and feel good about it. Hopefully I can keep it going until spring and move it into the garden.

Coffee is the first step to every successful plan

I was reminded of this just this week while running games for kids.
Kid: "Can I try to light the torch with my electric nunchucks?"
Me: "Uhh, maybe? Let's roll... Actually nvm, you can just do that."
Kid: "... I want to roll my dice though."
Me: "Oh! I see! Go ahead, roll Dex!"

I think when you roll for everything without first explaining HOW you are doing it, it turns the game into more of a board game, and less of a ttrpg.
Plus it helps build your problem solving skills in real life, too, imo.

If I had sleight of hand skills I could pretend to be a simpering sycophant and try to get it on the king's shirtsleeves while shaking or kissing his hand. Or maybe I could flick a drop into food or drink at a distance or something. Or a ring with a hidden needle?
I enjoy this kind of D&D play.

Thinking a bunch about how, if I were a D&D character, playing D&D, how I would go about trying to subtly poison a king. Assuming my character knows about stuff like strychnine, ricin, cyanide, tetrodotoxin, etc., what would the best strategy be to actually administer it?

Definitely not low magic though. High magic through the viewpoint of a schlub.

I agree. I suspect the reason people say that is because our pov character isn't the one doing the magic. It's a lot of "oh shit, oh fuck, they have a wizard. So do we, but ours suck ass. Somebody quick get over there and conk theirs out before we all croak."
