One of my statements at the UN 80th General Assembly:
"We did not stop the Holocaust. We did not stop the genocide in Rwanda. We did not stop the genocide in Srebrenica. Now we have no excuses left; we must stop the genocide in Gaza."
@aerynnsteele.bsky.social
The most predictable cycling fan.

Hannah & Ant discussed how bad UAE broadly (and Soler and Ayuso specifically) have been for Almeida on the international feed today
10.09.2025 16:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0However, if he is indeed intending to refer to protestors actually rushing the riders (again, something I saw no evidence of today) then the error lies with Domestique for implying that his comments are in reference to todayโs neutralization.
03.09.2025 19:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So either Pidcock is implying that the protestors at the finish line *would* have been dangerous or he is referencing what happened to Petilli yesterday.
03.09.2025 19:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I am not sure if I disagree with Pidcock or with the framing by @domestiquecycling.com
Yes, putting riders in danger is not an effective protest strategy, but I didnโt see any evidence of that happening, at least not on the broadcast.
I suspect our best shot for that is, similar to today, a breakaway win that builds a lead and hangs onto it. I donโt see anyone dropping Almeida or Jonasโฆ
28.08.2025 17:00 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Three of the stickiest bottles youโve ever seen on the way up the first climb of the day. At least thatโs my guess.
24.07.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah Iโm getting the feeling that Pogi has switched pretty firmly into defense mode. No more long range attacks. My theory is that heโs saving energy for the Vuelta.
24.07.2025 15:40 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It would not surprise me if, despite winning 5 GTs and a litany of other stage races, Roglaโs legacy is that he was the best mentor of his era.
22.07.2025 15:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I like it as a rule, just wish it was applied more broadly. In general I find it disappointing when anyone takes time because someone else crashed. I have no idea how such a broadening could ever be, like, enforced, though.
16.07.2025 18:19 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I wonder if the different team leaders makes a difference (i.e. GC Vingegaard vs GC Yates)? Or maybe it being a single rider crash? I could also see them just not wanting to deal with any asterisks in the Pog/Ving duel?
Iโm not sure; I agree the difference in behavior feels odd.
You know itโs bad when any jersey is giving UAE a run for its money in the bottom slot.
14.07.2025 13:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Omg they told Tadej of Urska & Del Toroโs performances on the radio ๐ญ๐
12.07.2025 13:20 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I swear Nils Politt hasnโt seen a slipstream all Tour. Even when heโs not pulling heโs still a giant
11.07.2025 13:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I agree regarding Pogi and the jersey. He seemed to indicate pretty clearly that he was not interested in putting in a big team effort to keep the jersey.
10.07.2025 13:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Doesnโt Pogaฤar have three as well?
08.07.2025 23:20 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Of course it was the grubers who got such a fabulous shot
07.07.2025 22:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Pogi is my favorite rider. This has lead to Jonas being vaguely villain-shaped in my mind. But starting last year, and now after his moves at the Dauphine and stage 1 of TdF I think he has firmly moved into โsecond favoriteโ status. Bring on the clash of my beloved aliens!
05.07.2025 16:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0To the other American cycling fans: I hope we all can sleep through fireworks to wake up on time for Lille tomorrow.
05.07.2025 03:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've seen a lot of people dreading the Tour and media around it. Jonas fans fear domination, Pogi fans fear media backlash.
So here's my pep talk: Watching cycling is YOUR hobby and brings YOU joy. Don't let that get taken away from you. Focus on the good things and don't let bad vibes sour them!!!
Iโll call on you again near the TdF Femmes ๐

26.06.2025 18:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Are any male cyclists super attractive? I can only think of Nico Roche, but heโs obviously not going to be on screen.
26.06.2025 17:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 7 ๐ 0Alright friends I need help convincing my non-cycling-pilled friends to watch the Tour with me.
Any good narrative hooks I can use?
So when 2024 was so incredible for him, my excitement spilled over and resulted in me bringing in anyone who would listen, to the point where most of my friends are aware of cycling as a sport that exists today and not just as a sport LA cheated at two decades ago. Which I would argue is a positive.
14.06.2025 21:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Whilst Pogacar is undoubtedly my favorite male rider, I do think I have a somewhat interesting point to add to this conversation.
Background info: I am the only cycling fan I know. And I started watching at the โ23 Tour when Pogacar got beaten and had his iconic โIโm gone. Iโm deadโ line.
Pogi at the finish revealing the real reason he attacked: he needed to catch the end of Urskaโs race.
13.06.2025 15:07 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Iโve listened to the album a few times now since release and I love it! Fabulous work! I really love interesting, modern choral music and you nail it!
10.06.2025 16:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโm based in the U.S. and long mountain stages will sometimes start as early as 1-2 AM. Itโs pretty brutal.
01.06.2025 20:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโve never really paid attention to Mads before but I have gained a lot of respect for him at this Giro as he supports his teammates with these crazy efforts.
