I drew the tilesets in GIMP and assembled the maps in RPG Maker. Then I exported the maps out of RPG Maker as images and put them altogether in GIMP.

YES! As a kid, I would stare at those for... well, a few minutes, but it seemed like hours.

Because of that formative experience, I often make games where all the maps can be stitched together into a big picture.

It's like a twin-stick shooter, but instead of shooting, you type words!

Apparently, all the words are real words, but you won't believe some of them. (Scrabble players, write these down.)

I like this movie. I wish more was done with the facts it's supposed to be set in a matriarchal society.

I think an underrated book in this set is Épopée - Tales from French Game Developers. You get to read a bunch of interviews with developers of weird French DOS games (and some non-weird ones too I guess)
