23.10.2023 12:39 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I need to make it a habit to post here every day. Itโs the only way Iโm going to actually become comfortable with this app.

28.09.2023 13:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Has anyone read The Covenant of Water? Iโm considering picking it up next but itโs quite the commitment and I hope itโs not a sad book because Iโm still recovering from A Tale for the Time Being.

This is what I fear. That people will assume that Iโm some kind of genius who is good at everything and that is absolutely not the case! Iโm smart in a VERY specific way lol
That being said, I also donโt know what the right response to that is. Iโve just been smiling and saying โthatโs kind of you to sayโ. Guess thatโs okay enough a thing to say.
26.09.2023 09:15 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโve been actively trying to not respond with โhaha no not reallyโ when someone says that I must be smart because I did a PhD. It is incredibly hard but I gotta stop putting myself down like that.

18.09.2023 08:06 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Iโm not a podcast person either and thatโs part of why it took so long to try audiobooks. Audiobooks (when well narrated) make me feel like Iโm actually reading the text myself!!
16.09.2023 16:55 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But I also wonder if Iโll ever be able to actually read again. With all the reading Iโve to do for work and the constant digital distractions, perhaps not. But I donโt mind. Audiobooks seem to be a very good alternative.
16.09.2023 16:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I downloaded audible 2 months ago and Iโm already TWELVE books in. Iโm clearly parched from not having read fiction in 4 years. Why didnโt I do this sooner??
