This is how I end up with every watercolor notebook open and every board filled with variations of whatever I’m working on so that the first one is dry by the time I circle back around 😂

I was very anxious about my drawing skills being up to this one, drew and inked it, then my kiddo Helped 😭. I managed to get the pencil off the center and do the watercolors. Might add a border to go with her pencil at some point 😂. #watercolor #watercolorinnatire #fern #naturepainting

Carrying on through Watercolor in Nature by Rosalie Haizlett, here’s the fly agaric mushroom I painted a few weeks ago. I’m very happy with how all the little details turned out and I reluctantly agree with her suggestion of the aquamarine blue and burnt umber combo for shadows 😂

I’m enjoying it! I’m finding that her instructions don’t always include all the steps, but the pictures are sufficient to make up for it. I’ve drawn but not painted the praying mantis yet.

Last week I drew and painted a daisy from a new watercolor tutorial book., Watercolor in Nature by Rosalie Haizlett. This one has you do a detailed sketch, trace in ink, erase, then paint. Certainly more a production than my standard, but I’m enjoying it. Perhaps I can draw now 😂 #daisy #watercolor

Trump is already grabbing people off the street and disappearing them to prison camps in El Salvador and this is only month 2 of the regime. If these people are allowed to stay in power where do you think we're going to be at when month 48 hits?

The situation with the deported Venezuelans and the El Salvador prison is horrific. Nightmarish. An escalation in brutality and cruelty from an already unconscionably brutal and cruel regime. But it's also another example of the shoddy way this "move fast and break things" government is doing stuff.

Vision correction is so common you can mostly just Exist in society, until your glasses break or contacts run out. Then you remember that this is a serious problem. But what if all disabilities had so few barriers to treatment? Were accepted by society and accommodated?
