Sounds fair, the retailers are paying a pittance for rooftop solar generated by consumers, so🖕to them. My modest rooftop solar system (no battery) puts more kWh into the grid than it takes out over a year, but I pay much more for what I take out than what I put in. Thanks Chris Bowen!

Outsider (Australian) looking in: is the literacy problem getting worse with time? There has been a lot of comment about the 'dumbing-down' of America over recent decades. Is it deliberate, intended to produce a class of people who are limited to receiving information and opinions from TV only?

I just finished watching the movie 'Failsafe' (1964) on YouTube. I saw it a long time ago and I've been wanting to see it again since. It just showed up on YouTube movies, ten days ago apparently. It's one of the great cold war movies. Definitely worth a watch, 💯

I (Australian) used to wonder about how long the US empire would last, but I was thinking beyond my lifetime. Now it looks like I may outlive the US empire.

California has a population slightly smaller than Canada, and significantly larger than Australia. Canada and Australia both have health care systems that make health care available to all at little or no cost. Keep going California, you could lead the US out of its current health-care disaster.
