Two words are all that is needed from Rupert Murdoch to Fox News, Sky etc.

Those sorts of changes would be more difficult now because opposition politicians, shit-stirrers etc would be making so much noise on social media that any government would have difficulty getting it done. Look at anti-vaxxers, flat-earthers, sovereign citizens - seduced by misinformation.

Then I had a go at making a spreadsheet do the same. It was easiest to convert it all to pence, add/subtract, then convert back to LSD. I ended up using modulus arithmetic to convert back, modulo 12 and modulo 20. I am so glad that we went decimal, and kids don't have to learn that crap any more.

Not long ago I, out of boredom, decided to see if I could still add/subtract pounds, shillings and pence. I cooked up some figures that would maximise carrying to the next denomination and had a crack. I could do it, but it took a bit of thinking. We wasted so much time learning that difficult crap.

We (Australia) also changed to decimal currency in the sixties, and in the seventies we ditched Imperial measurements and went Metric. Can you imagine trying to do either of those things now?

No social media spreading outright lies back then.

I once heard a barking owl do its 'screaming woman' call. It really did sound like a woman in extreme distress. It was late at night in rural South Gippsland, and when we went to investigate (hoping we weren't going to find a human body) it was a couple of owls fighting over some road kill. Scary.

If opposing an unelected envoy’s power to determine what speech is free and what speech is banned is anti-Semitic, so be it.
If opposing Australia selling arms components to Israel is anti-Semitic, so be it.
But know, if you come for me, I will fight like hell.

If supporting Palestinians is anti-Semitic, so be it.

Dear @albomp.bsky.social , Max Kaiser has got it right. I am angrier than I have been for a long time after watching the delivery of the 'antisemitism' recommendations today. I could go on, and on, but he has encapsulated my feelings far better than I could. Who is running this country? #auspol

Yes. It appears to be in very good condition and, if the rest of the leather case is present, complete. You can still get film for them and they take a nice sharp photo. You could get more than $30 for it on EBay as well.
