I don’t think I’m alone in asking people to stop recording shows on their phones. I’m tired of straining to see past dozens of little screens instead of some freakishly tall MF like back in the day.

I like colouring my hair myself, I started during Covid. It’s like 3 dimensional painting & I feel like my BFA needs to be used for something (!) but more importantly, I find 3 hours of salon small talk excruciating, end up blurting out the dumbest stuff to be entertaining, & then I PAY at the end.

Ears are still ringing from Pigs x7 last night. I even wore ear plugs - tiny club hazard - it was worth it. Apropos of nothing, the drummer’s mid-set banana snack was a bold move. I cannot look at a banana if it’s not almost green with zero soft spots. Banana hater, Dan Mongrain, would have puked.

For la St-Jean I bought Batuman’s The Idiot to read later & I’m trying to play Vic Chesnutt songs on a ukulele because it’s the only thing I have that’s not a bass guitar, maybe I’ll go nuts & hammer on the glockenspiel because I have one of those, how long until I’m evicted? Vive le Québec libre.

Woke up this am, irrationally angry about something someone did to me in a dream. I can’t even remember what it was, only that my cutting retort was “you have a really common name.” Hahaha... Even in my dreams I pathetically let people off the hook. JFC.
