I just make soup sometimes

Listen, I do a lot of things I don’t understand. All I know is that soup is supposed to have bay leaves in it, and I’ll keep fishing them out of my soup once it’s finished even if I don’t know why they were there in the first place.

I posted this absentmindedly while making soup and promptly forgot I said anything.

Imagine my surprise once I opened bluesky back up after an evening of Blue Prince and soup.

Does anyone actually know what a bay leaf does? Or do we all just put it into soup simply because you’re supposed to?

Listen, I know a lot of things are bad in the world right now, but they also started making Old Bay Goldfish, sooo 🤷‍♀️

It's no wonder babies cry so much: they're trapped in a game of QWOP until they get good at it.

Took me a while to realize this wasn’t about Date Everything

If there’s one piece of advice I could give to friends of new parents, it’s this: do their dishes.

Don’t ask if it would be helpful, don’t even mention you’re going to do it/have done it. Just silently slip away and do their dishes at some point. This includes putting away any clean dishes.

all i want is to one day own a modest sized home in a walkable neighborhood and raise money for shelter animals. wear an outfit i like, walk to the grocery store, buy some nectarines, feed cats, and live in peace. just don't understand why achieving this is so hard
